I'm Taking a Blog Vacation

Hi, dear readers!  I missed my weekend wrap-up yesterday and just wanted to let you all know that I will be taking a temporary hiatus from blogging.  We're gearing up for another fall soccer season, this time with my son playing on a different team than my husband is coaching, in an altogether different soccer club.  So, most of my weekends will be spent traveling to soccer games with one or both of them. Since I write most of my blog posts on the weekends, this will obviously cut into my blogging time.

In addition, my youngest will begin his first year of home schooling soon and adding his work into the mix will leave me with even less time.  Of course, at this point the older two are working toward being self-taught, but I still have teaching days and need time to go over anything with which they need extra help.

And, in case I forgot to mention it, I recently began working from home!  This is very exciting news for me because I have wanted to return to work for a while now, but was not fully committed to leaving my work as a stay-at-home mom.  I've searched for the ideal position of telecommuting for many years--really since my last telecommuting position ended 9 years ago!  I want to have my (soaked) cake and eat it to and was able to have that ideal work/life balance when my oldest two were very young.  I have finally found another company that will allow me to work from home and I feel incredibly blessed.  "Ask and it shall be given . . ."

I recently joined Real Food Media, as well, and am attempting to balance my blog so that I cover all of the topics that I want to write about and at the same time ensure that my blog has an obvious real food focus.  I've worked hard over the past few weeks to revamp my blog in order to give it the feel that conveys its purpose.

Notice I said that I've worked on my blog.  Blogging is a hobby for me.  When I sit down to write, I am peaceful.  I am contented.  I simply am.  When writing or blogging becomes a job to me, I stop doing my best.  So, for a bit--not sure how long; maybe a week, maybe more--I am going to take a break from blogging.  When I can again sit down to write because the words need to come out and not because it's a Wednesday and my site stats might fall if I don't get a post up, then I will return.

Until then, I hope you all have a wonderful summer!  If you have questions or comments, please don't hesitate to post them.  I'll still be online and moderating/answering questions and comments, just not creating new posts.  I hope to find time to get my media diet and work at home pages up and running, as well.

Thank you for your continued readership and support!
