Once upon a time, I had perfect posture. When I was a teen and my body was in alignment I moved through the world easily with no discomfort. Over the years, mostly due to working behind a computer, I’ve lost my excellent posture and gained the discomfort that comes with incorrect posture. That’s why I was thrilled to get the opportunity to try the ALEX Wearable Posture Tracker and Coach. I’m excited to share my experience with you and encourage you to try ALEX for yourself. I’m Improving My Posture with ALEX Wearable Posture Tracker and Coach

When I began working at a desk job, behind a computer all day it didn’t take me long to notice that my neck always seemed out of sorts and my shoulders were often raised and rounded.

I left that job recently to pursue self-employment but I haven’t gotten out from behind the computer screen.  I’ve developed the dreaded “text neck” and the headaches it can bring. I’ve worked hard over the past few months to regain proper posture through yoga, stretching and constantly reminding myself to stand up straight.

The hardest part of correcting my posture is when I’m sitting at my desk. I’m so focused on my work that I find myself slumping forward toward my screen. I always start off with excellent posture, but within a short time, I’m right back in “text neck” position.

I don’t always notice my bad posture right away, but I definitely notice the discomfort caused by bad posture.

ALEX Reminds Me to Correct My Posture

The ALEX Wearable Posture Coach gives me a reminder if my posture stays in ‘text neck’ position for more than a few minutes. I can’t believe how often I slip from correct posture into an incorrect one. I definitely wasn’t catching it this often by myself.

ALEX gives a soft vibration when I’ve slipped into an improper posture for a few minutes. This is my reminder to sit up and realign my body. It’s working wonders for me already. My neck and shoulder discomfort has lessened, I’m more alert and focused while working and I’m well on my way to having excellent posture once again.

How Does ALEX Work?

The lightweight ALEX Wearable Posture Coach sits around the back of my neck and continually measures the angle of my neck. When I slouch into ‘text neck’ position, ALEX gives a gentle vibration to warn me to straighten up.

ALEX app monitors my posture in real time and tracks my progress toward improving my posture. ALEX has a long battery life – up to seven days.

I asked my son to model ALEX since his posture is impeccable and his hair is shorter than mine, which gives you a full view of how the device rests comfortably on his neck.

ALEX Wearable Posture Coach Fits Easily Into My Life

One of the reasons I’m able to recommend ALEX is because it fits seamlessly into my life. I leave it by my computer, in its handy case, so I remember to put it on each morning when I sit down to work. Because it’s lightweight and comfortable, I don’t think about it while I’m wearing it unless I slip into ‘text neck’ posture and ALEX gently reminds me to realign. ALEX Wearable Posture TrackerYou can find the ALEX Wearable Posture Coach on Amazon.
